My first "concert"

Well Saturday was busy day for me. After sleeping for 10 hours I got up and headed to Corvallis to my sister and nephew before they left for Idaho. I sure do love this little guy

Afterwards Tyrel and I went out to dinner and discussed the plan for later that night. The plan was to just go home but my friend texted me about the Northwest Art and Air Show in Albany where Daughtry was playing. I had completely forgot about it. I seriously love that band and I've never been to a concert where a band plays live before. Well I'm very happy that I went because that was an amazing experience! I will admit listening to songs live sounds different but it was so cool being so close.

Here they come!

Here they come!

So cool. Thanks to my friend Lindsey for the invite

Attempting some beach therapy

Yesterday we made a trip to the beach because both of us felt it had been forever since we went. Now that we live in Salem, we are closer to Lincoln City which is where we got married. So we decided to visit the beach we got married on, which was Fogarty Creek Beach. We reminisced about the special day and started walking along the beach like we normally do. We quickly regretted that decision. We soon realized how much we hated the sand there. So many big rocks and extremely uncomfortable. And it was HOT. So hot that we burned our feet. I happen to burn my toes so badly that I now have blisters on them. Yes, second degree burns from walking barefoot on the beach. We have been walking barefoot on the beach for years and never have experienced sand so hot. I'm wondering if the amount of rocks soaking up the heat from the sun had something to do with it?

Anyway, after that horrible experience we decided to go to a different beach, where there is more normal sand. The sand felt nicer, not nearly as hot but we still didn't get far because our feet were still hurting from being burned. We decided to bag the idea of walking on the beach and instead stopped at the outlet mall in Lincoln City and do some looking around. We happen to find the perfect rings for us at Hot Topic, which happen to be something from star wars which is why they are so perfect. We also went to the Kitchen Collections to get some more things for our kitchen and they happen to be having a sale on the kitchen aid mixers I've been wanting so badly!

Other then the blisters on my toes, it was an overall good day

Vacation bliss

Well we made it home finally! We left late afternoon and arrived home shortly after 9:30. I am so glad that that we left a day early because now we have all day today to re-coop and prepare for going back to work on Monday.

Wallowa Lake was amazing as always. Much needed time with family, good food, and lots of lake time. No tubing for me this year but I had watching other people tube. We celebrated Ajax's first birthday, did some mini golfing, wandered around the shops through Joseph, and rode the tram up the mountain. While we were up on the mountain we got to watch someone jump off the mountain with a parachute! We've been going there for many years and have never got to experience that before. So cool.

Be ready for an onslaught of photos, I tried uploaded some photos on my blog while vacation but the internet was just too slow. Enjoy

All he wanted to do was play in those rocks!
