Pregnancy reveal!

Well this is my first pregnancy post! Now that everybody knows the big news I want to share my experience with everyone.

Let's go all the way back to August, back when I knew I was pregnant. I was on my school camping when the slight morning sickness and frequent bathroom trips started. I spent the majority of my time eating and using the bathroom. And other then my missed period I knew something was up. When I came back from my trip I took a pregnancy test, and I didn't get any results back so I bought another one and this time it was positive!

Turns out I was 5 weeks along. I found out on August 25th, just one day before Tyrel's birthday. I was going to wait and and tell him on his birthday the next day, but I couldn't hold it in. I was around 7 or 8 weeks when I started telling my family. I wanted to do something creative so I made this sign:

Needless to say everybody was really excited for me. We told Tyrel's granny and she cried and when we went to visit Opa, we even got teary eyed. I had your typical morning sickness. No throwing up luckily, just really nauseous and really had to force myself to eat breakfast every morning. Of course I'm pretty good about keeping puking under control because I have this really weird fear of throwing up. Everything seemed to be going fine, until one morning I woke up bleeding. I didn't freak out or anything, I've been told it's perfectly normal to spot and bleed as your uterus grows and stretches, but I called my doctor just to make sure.  She scheduled a last minute ultra sound to make sure everything was ok. Because it was last minute Tyrel wasn't able to come because he had to work. Well I really wish he would have been able to come with me because that's when I found out I was pregnant with twins!! I was 12 weeks when I found this out. Needless to say I was in shock for awhile and then the tears came. All I could think about was double everything! Double the clothes, double the diapers, double the food, and double the money! We would have been fine with just one, but now there are two!

The shock has started to wear off and I'm starting to get excited again. My morning sickness has gone and my appetite is slowly starting to come back. Now if we could just get this house buying process going, everything would be good!

Happy Halloween!!

How far along? 15 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Since becoming pregnant I've lost 15 pounds
Maternity clothes? I still fit in my regular clothes. My mom took my shopping and bought some maternity clothes for me that I like to wear sometimes because they are super comfortable
Best moment this week: Making my pregnancy official
Miss Anything? Alcohol... There is a bottle of wine and half a bottle of rum in my fridge just taunting me :/
Movement: None yet
Food cravings: Chocolate milk, or any kind of milk really. And Salad
Anything making you queasy or sick: Any type of lunch meat. Last time I ate it, I spent the next day puking
Have you started to show yet: Hard to tell. Most of it is still bell fat
Gender prediction:  One boy and one girl
Labor Signs: Some mild cramping
Belly Button in or out? in
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy most of the time. However I do have my moments of snapping at Tyrel for no reason and breaking down in tears for no reason
Looking forward to:  My bell fat turning into a baby bump ;)

Pumkin Carvings!

Every year Tyrel and I look forward to carving multiple pumpkins, and we tend to go a little crazy with it. People are always curious about how they end up looking so good and the biggest thing is practice. It takes time and patience to carve a nice pumpkin so it's important not to rush into things.

Step 1: scrap out all the guts and seeds out

Step 2: scrap the side of the pumpkin your carving is going on. The thinner the better

Step 3: Poke holes. We prefer smaller holes and use a push pin. That way the holes aren't as noticeable after you carve them out

Step 4: Start carving! The trick is to start from the inside and work your way out. This may seem like a lot of effect but it will be so worth it and you will come out with this amazing pumpkin carving afterwards!

A weekend at Opa's house

We spent the weekend in Azalea, OR visiting Tyrel's grandpa, and aunt and uncle. It's a small town in southern Oregon, out in the country. It's really beautiful there and I really loved the falls colors that were everywhere. It was also so quiet and dark at night. I always enjoy visiting there. Opa lives on a big property next to a creek so we enjoyed a nice fall walk

Before we left, his aunt took some pictures of us. Knowing Tyrel, it took a couple of shots to get a one. Such a dork but I do love him :)
