Loving life

I'm normally better about posting but I'm currently still compterless. My hard drive went bad and my dad had to order me a new one. It's been strange not having a computer. So much is going on in my life I feel it's just flashing in front of me and next thing I know it's almost the end of April! A little over 3 months and then I'm getting married!!

Anyway for the moment enjoy these pictures below.

My brother up to bat!

All bundled up watching some baseball

Update on my caterpillars:
On Friday all of the caterpillars, but one had made a cocoon. When I arrived on Monday, all of them had hardened in their cocoons, which meant it was time to transfer them to the butterfly cage! We took the kids on a walk to gather some leaves and flowers for decoration, and placeed all the cocoons inside the cage. And now we play the waiting game. In just 2 weeks, we should have butterflies! Personally I think I'm more excited about it then the kids. Oh well

Let them grow!

Back in November I took a trip to the High Desert Museum with Tyrel and his parents. There was a butterfly exhibit there... needless to say Tyrel's dad discovered my love obsession for butterflies! As a gift he bought me the live butterfly garden, allowing me to order caterpillars and have them grow into butterflies!

I thought this would be a great teaching experience with the kiddos at work. But because it was November I had to wait since I felt bad about releasing butterflies in the wild during the winter time. So I've been waiting very patiently for the weather to get nice so I can order my caterpillars. Well the wait is over and about a week and a half ago I ordered and received my caterpillars! My co teacher, the kids and I are having a blast watching them grow, as they have become huge. Should be about another week and they will make a chrysalis. Once they have done that we can take them out of the container they came in and put them in a special cage and they will be butterflies! So exciting. I'm probably more excited about it then the kids are, but still this whole process has been really cool to watch. Stay tuned for my pictures!

Busy, busy weekend

Let's face it, who doesn't love the weekends? I always look forward to them becuase I like to able to relax. When the weekends comes I really have no motivation to do anything but just chill. But it's nice to have the busy, fun weekends as well once in a while. On saturday Tyrel and I spent most of the day at the beach. We went to look at a place my mom found online. Considering we plan on getting married in 3 months, I figured it's important to have a place to get married at! Anyway, we went to look at it, fell in love with it, and booked it! I'm happy to say that we finally picked a date! (more about that later) Not posting photos of the whole place, but here's what the outside looks like:

Isn't it cute?

Next step: Finding a beach to have the ceromony at. Lots of options, but having difficulty finding a beach with a big enough parking lot.

Once we were done with the important stuff we were able to spend time on the beach. It was an absolute beautiful day! We did our usual walk along the bay front and had lunch a rouge brewery. Afterwards we walked along the beach until we got tired before heading home!

Windy!!!

Tyrel and his cape
When we got home we headed over to a friends house for Tyrel's "niece" birthday. Lots of food and delicious cake.

Sunday was Easter, which meant we were up bright and early again to head to Sweet home to Tyrel's grandma's house. We started with an Easter egg hunt!

Excited!

All searching for eggs

Yeah, I didn't find very many eggs
There was big group of us, so it didn't take very long. I'm not very good at them so I didn't find very many of them. Afterwards we made deviled eggs with them! I had way too many of them, but they were so good. It was such nice weather, we all ate outside while his granny told stories of Tyrel when he was little. I always love hearing those stories :)

Man made disco ball

The happy couple

Later that night we headed to my parents house for Easter dinner number 2, which meant even more food! I love the holidays but I tend to go a little overboard when it comes to the food. There are currently leftovers in the fridge which will last us a couple more days.

Overall good weekend, aside from it being really busy. Right now the weekend is starting to catch up on me which means I'm probably heading to bed early tonight. I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!
