Flashback to my new beginning

I was recently looking through some old pictures back from 3 years ago. As I was looking at these pictures I realized that a lot of things took place that year. At the time I was finishing my last year of school. I had been struggling a bit, considering at the time I was doing student teaching while working part time. I didn't have much free time, was running on a little amount of sleep and my boyfriend at the time had broke up with me, leaving me heart broken and unable to concentrate at school work. Little did I know that 3 months later my life would change

Before spring term started, I decided that enough was enough. I wasn't going to waste my life on someone who was allegedly cheating on me. No more would I suffer through manipulation and emotional and psychological abuse. I was done. I wanted to go back to being me; back to being happy!

I got a new hair style, (and color) and surrounded myself around loved ones so I knew what it felt to be happy again. I was able to focus on my school work. I finished winter term, and completed my student teacher. I started spring term with a new perspective on life.

In June 2010 I graduated from OSU with an Early Childhood Education and Development degree. A week later I started a new job. Everything was going great

On June 20, 2010 I went on a date with an old friend from high school. The date was a huge success and we really hit it off! We continued dating and everyday he stole my heart. I've never really believed in love at first site. I didn't think it existed in real life, only in fairy tales. But after reconnecting with Tyrel, I was in love already. He was kind to me, and treating me nicely. I could be myself around him. We continued dating and waited for the "puppy love" phase to disappear; but it never did. 3 and 1/2 years later I'm still happy as ever.

Today I'm thankful for finding such an amazing guy. Someone who could make me happy, someone who I could talk to, someone I can spend the rest of my life with.

Black and White Sunday: "Pumpkin Patch"

The one year olds were too little to go the actual pumpkin patch. So my co worker created her own version of the pumpkin patch at school!

Pumpkin carving crazy

It's the weekend before Halloween, which meant it was time to carve pumpkins! Pumpkins are usually really expensive. I remember spending like $25 on two pumpkins last year! Well this year Ty mentioned a sale Safeway was doing that happens only on Fridays. So while babysitting my siblings I went by Safeway and bought 4 pumpkins (2 big ones, and 2 small ones) for $13! What a deal! Friday I started the carving while watching Hocas Pocas of course. On Saturday I continued the carving while watching through the Saw series. I can never get tired of them!

I never used to be good at carving pumpkins until I started dating Ty. He has a whole bin of carvings that his dad started collected and then through out the years he has added to the collection. Tyrel has taught his ways of pumpkin carving and as you can see my carvings have gotten more complicated!

Tyrel's carvings
Saturday I spent time tailgating before going to the Beaver game. It was a game we could have won. We kept the game close with a 3 to 0 lead all through the 1st half of the game and then we had to mess it up!! But even though we lost I still love my Beavers. We fought it all the way until the end

I finished my pumpkin carvings and now it's time to focus on making signs to prepare for the events going on during the book fair at work!

Party in Pink!

Last night I participated in an event called Party In Pink. It was a zumba class that cost $10 and the benefit went towards breast cancer prevention. I have never done zumba before, but have always wanted to try it. I hear a lot of good things about it, like how much of a work out it is. And considering that I love to dance, I figured why not give it try!

The event was held at the Heritage Mall in Albany. I had a friend drag me along and found a spot to stand and the music started. I had no idea what I was doing, I was uncoordinated and messed up a bunch of times, but I stuck with it the whole time. There were no step by step instructions of the dance we were doing, it was one song after another, following the people on stage. I got the hang of it after awhile and wondered to myself why I've haven't done this sooner!

For the people that participated your name got put into a raffle and my name just happened to pulled. I got a gift certificate for free shellac nails! My friend and I dance along and after about an hour, both of us called it good and headed home.

Overall a huge success! Check out their website for information if you are curious

Blogger blahs

Lately I've been in a blogger rut. Normally I'm excited and always have something to write about, but by the time I get home and sit down at my computer, all the words leave my brain. Worked has drained me and I'm always exhausted. I just want to come home, turn on my shows and melt into the couch. The weekends usually consists of relaxing, unless I have plans. But even when I do have plans I have a hard time staying up late and have to cut it short. I'm hoping this doesn't become a regular thing, but considering I'm getting older, I'm going to assume it's only going to get harder haha

Anyway, last Thursday was my brother's last home football game! I can't believe he is a senior already. When did he get so grown up?

Late night, but it was really worth it. My brother played amazing and the Spartans won!!

Saturday I spent the day, relaxing, like always but not before I enjoyed a beautiful walk and then went to celebrate my friends birthday

Saturday was one of those nights where I couldn't stay out really late. But it's nice to be able to last long enough to catch up with friends

Sunday was another one of those, where has the time gone, days. It was my littlest brother's 5th birthday! Yes, 5. I remember exactly 5 years ago, watching my mom in labor, stood with her in the room as they sewed her up after her c section. He was so small and now he has gotten so big!

Time is flying on by and it doesn't ever seem to slow down
