The hardest part about living in Salem is not knowing anyone. It's hard making new friends when you are older. Also I'm further away from my family as well. Sure Corvallis may only be a 45 minute drive, but that's longer then it was. It's really hard calling this place home when Corvallis has been my home for as long as I can remember. I couldn't help but feel a little homesick on Saturday when I came down to Corvallis for dinner with my family. Tyrel and I both miss it and if we could, we would move back, but both of us have new jobs that we both love and we don't want to mess with that.
Until next time Corvallis

Memorial Day weekend
So I don't know about you but it feels like the weekends go by way too fast. I had a nice 3 day weekend and now it's back to work tomorrow. Tyrel and I don't go anywhere for Memorial Day, on account that places are usually booked and there are way too many people. So instead we went to Tyrel's Granny for a belated Easter/birthday picnic. Yeah I know Easter was awhile ago but Granny wanted to wait for the weather to be nicer
Other then that it's just been a relaxing weekend, while playing on my new computer. Oh, and Tyrel made ice cream! It happens to be stawberry season, so we made a decilious batch of strawberry ice cream!!
Happy memorial day

Mystery flowers revealed!
The flowers in my front area finally bloomed and the are so pretty! Turns out I have two different types of irises, purple (one of my favorite colors) and white.
The taller one I still feel looks more like a vegetable plant but my grandma thinks it's hollyhock. Either way it's still really pretty too
On the other side of my front door I also discovered I have small rose bush with white roses blooming!
I love my little garden!

Home sweet home
I've been wanting to do this for awhile but haven't really got around to it. I also feel this place didn't really feel like "home" with random boxes everywhere. But now that we got everything situated and in it's proper place I feel it was time to take some pictures.
Welcome to our home!
This place is definitely old and falling apart in some places but we make due with what we have. We are both just really glad we were able to find a place in Salem, closer to where we both work. It's not perfect but it's home
And yes we do have a kitchen table but we don't have it set up all the time because there isn't room with my desk being there.
Well that's it. Now you've seen our home. Happy Saturday
