Diet blues

Well I went to a follow up appointment to see my dietitian and then was soon disappointed once again when I stepped on the scale. Although I didn't gain any weight, but I weighed the same. You can't even begin to imagine the frustration I'm feeling right now. I'm doing exactly what I've been doing for the past 2 months (with the exception of going on vacation) and nothing has changed. I'm pretty much at a loss for what to do next. My dietitian has gone to her last resort and when I see her next week I'm going to do this test to see if my metabolism is working correctly. I'm not trying make exuces, but if I'm doing everything she told me to do, then why am I not losing any weight??

I think what really irritates me the most is how easy it's been for Tyrel to lose weight. He recently started working out close to 5 times a day as well as lowering his proportions, and he has already lost like 10 pounds. It seems so easy for him, how the hell is that fair?! I want to be happy for him but at the time I'm super jealous and can't help but feel bitter towards him as he brags about his success.

At times I have the sudden urge to give up all together, but I know that's not the right thing to do. I'm going to stay strong and hope that next week with give me answers. It shouldn't be this hard to lose to weight, so why am I struggling? Not really asking for tips considering I am seeing a dietitian, but I just needed to vent for a little bit

So many photos, so little time

Came back to work today. It felt wired being back, but that quickly changed once I was greeted by 5 smiling preschoolers. Nothing more gratifying then getting attacked with hugs. I knew then, that this is where I'm meant to be.

Anyway I'm still in the process of uploading more photos from Wallowa Lake. It was so nice having the time off. And I really loved riding the tram up the mountain and hiking up there. Tyrel... well not so much. But once we got up there, he enjoyed himself. First time feeding chipmunks. And Bailee of course really liked it too.

He looks so happy haha

Beautiful view on the way up

While up the mountain, there were a series of trails to hike on. All contained beautiful views, scenery, and lots of chipmunks to feed. We were feeding them sunflower seeds. Until one of them decided that my granola bar would be a better choice. The little booger took the granola right out of the packet and took off! The thing was was the size of him, but he was determined. I didn't get to eat any of it! Oh well... good to know that he will be eating well for the next week :P

8150 feet up

So beautiful

Tyrel was very happy to have a chipmunk on his head

He also had fun feeding them with his mouth

Home sweet home

After being gone for a week, there is nothing my comforting then sleeping in your own bed. Coming back from the vacation is always the hardest part for me. Not because I have to work but because I now have a bag to unpack and shopping to do. Guess that's not the worst thing in the world

My home away from home

5 days of nothing but having fun, tubing, hiking and lots of relaxation. Don't know how often I will be on while I'm here considering I am in the middle of no where and connection is very slow. Oh and did I mention there is a hot tub?

Oh yeah, now this is what I call a vacation

The messier, the better

I love doing messy things in the classroom with the kids. Particular painting. We go through a lot of paint. Enough that we have to fill the paint bottles almost on a weekly basis. Well today I wanted to change it up a bit. I added some sand to change the consistency and texture to paint starfish.

I've never done this before and hope that it turns out ok. Kind of fun to do something different
